Know About Dental Implants

Made of titanium, dental implants are minute replacements for the tooth roots that are surgically placed into the jaw bone. The jaw bone fuses with the titanium and anchors the artificial teeth to a strong foundation. Dental implants serve multiple purposes. They help in retaining the original facial bone structure and are critical in preventing the deterioration of the bone.

Dental Implant Process

At 4 Squares Dentistry, the procedure for dental implants is done by our expert dentist in Medavakkam, Gowrivakkam, Egmore & Madipakkam under very hygienic conditions with sophisticated dental devices.

The surgical routine for dental implants has two procedures. In the first procedure, the implants are fixed within your jaw bone. We give the implants a period of ninety days to six months to gradually bond with your jaw bone. We also recommend temporary dental appliances and a mushy diet to prepare your jaw bone for the next phase.

In the second stage of the surgery, our oral implantologist attaches small posts within the gums. These posts will be concealed when the artificial dentures are anchored to them. The replacement teeth are designed to suit the colour of your natural teeth. The entire process takes approximately eight months. Pain and discomfort are very minimal with dental implant procedures.

Cutting-edge Procedures

Latest advances in dental implant technology have allowed us to refine our procedures. Currently, we use single stage implants that do not require a second surgical procedure. But you will need a healing time of at least six weeks before your artificial teeth are fixed. There are more advanced therapies where the implants can be placed during tooth extraction, thus minimising the number of surgical procedures.

We have the best oral and maxillofacial surgeons and restorative dentists to perform dental implants at our clinic.
